Whitburn Band is delighted to announce that Garry Cutt will conduct the band at this year’s National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.
The partnership between one of the world’s leading brass band conductors and the Scottish Open champion at last year’s competition resulted in Whitburn and Garry finishing in third place at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Charlie Farren, Whitburn Band Chairman, said: “Garry made a terrific impact at Whitburn last year. The band performed very well and achieved a good result, so everyone at Whitburn is very excited to be working with Garry once more.”
Garry added: “I'm delighted to be working with Whitburn again.
“Our third place at last year's Nationals was just reward for the hard work and a collective team ethic that exists in the bandroom.”
